Firm Roots Cancer Prayer Support - Bristol

Practical help and support groups

Firm Roots Cancer Prayer Support Group meets monthly on the second Wednesday evening of the month. These meetings are held 7.30pm to 9.00pm at people’s homes in Bristol. Please contact Sarah or Sarah to find out the address of the next meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend a Firm Roots Cancer Prayer Support Group and come along for friendship, encouragement and to pray for families affected by cancer. People who join our prayer groups include those who have a cancer diagnosis, family and friends supporting someone through cancer and oncology staff. People from all different denominations attend and we also welcome people who do not attend church or are unsure about faith, but who would like to receive prayer and encouragement as they go through cancer. Our groups consist of coffee and cake time, a Bible theme/short talk, quiet space to pray, group discussion and group prayers. Each group meets monthly and has a prayer list for local people affected by cancer. Do feel free to contact the group and ask them to pray for you, even if you cannot attend the meetings. Please see the website for more information www.firmroots.org.uk. Also please email Helen.Jones@firmroots.co.uk if you might be interested in setting up a new Firm Roots Cancer Prayer Support Group in your area.
